Another beautiful month of learning and exploring! On our biking days we do an hour of school work at the learning centre and take the unfinished one with us on the trails! Look at these wonderful cyclists practising their handwriting!
Multiplication is fun! Throw the ball twice & multiply the numbers, write down the result & win the game!
A Pemby day was full of fun! Visiting Amy, playing with Sunny, exploring the blooming meadows and local waterfalls!
Benn's nature collection!
Every Monday we start our Spelling lesson with recognizing the patterns and sorting out the words in piles that have the same spelling pattern! We then color the letter that make the sound, use the words in funny stories or poems to make it easier to recall them in the future!
Our cooking experiment - dandelion honey/syrup...
We gathered some flowers, washed them and left them in the water overnight...
...we measured how much sugar we need...
...boiled until it looked like honey...
...and enjoyed it with waffles!
Ali's drawing FRIENDSHIP :)

One of our math challenge this month was learning about money! We decided to take it out of the learning centre and see how it works in the real life! Creekside garage sale! I think it was lots of fun and what about this cool T-Shirt Ali got to buy after selling some of her pink toys!

It was Amy's Birthday this month as well, so we took her out for a coconut macaroon :) Look at those mini hot chocolates with marshmallows!

...you never know how the next project is going to start...sometimes with finding an old umbrella in the park!
Another day of cycling and school work + lunch in the village!
Benn is really conscious about his learning and can talk teacher into different projects! Like this one: Butterfly catching!
He measured it's size, recognized the wing shape, color and added extra info, like the type of it (with ok, google search engines help we found out that this beauty is called comma butterfly!)
We have been experimenting with some planting this spring, potatoes (organic&non-organic), ginger & onions! We also tried pineapple, but it turned out to be too difficult to handle!
Let's see what happens next with these little seeds from NASA!
Some cutting and pasting and we are covered under planets!
Learning multiplication & patterns...
Spring = Rhubarb = cream&rhubarb&sugar&cinnamon toast... yummmm!
This food is landing soon!
Learning about processes and following steps of how to build a bird feeder!
Benn's working on sight-words!
We love our community and how could you not if they organize pancake breakfast at the library!

Another week to go! :)
